I can't decide how to decorate the inside of my mausoleum. The dimensions are 4 x 8 and it serves as the entrance of the walk-through so there's not a lot of room but it needs something.

To keep is simple and to use the least space, go with Scene Setters on the walls, ceiling, and even possibly the ground.

As it's a walkthrough area, I'd keep the decoration minimal so as to discourage touching/breakage.
I like the idea of scene setters... you could also mount a blacklight in the top of the peak shining down and paint scary stuff all over the walls - the writing and any white items the people are wearing would glow and glowing stuff always has a big "WOW!" factor.

Set a skinny table on the back, place skulls and candles on it, place a large portrait on the center back wall, drape the side of the table with white sheet that go from the table up to the top back corners (looking sort of like a U shape), illuminate with a red flood from inside top door jam.
Successfully scaring little kids since 1990.
