Wow...thanks for the great ideas! I'm going to marinate on them. It's not actually for Halloween. It's for a burlesque show that's on Halloween...so I'm doing "I put a spell on you" and am flipping between the ideas of being a human voodoo doll or being the one casting the spell. I need to be able to step out of the cauldron not so much stay in it to scare people.

Is this big enough for you? 5feet in diameter and 4 feet tall. Used 3 rings. One on top , one in the middle ( biggest one ) and one on the bottom. Covered with chicken wire , paper mache and painted it black. Has a green light , a self-stirring stick and a fog machine inside .
I will use this cauldron for my witch theme. 3 witches that are 6 1/2 ft tall.

make a box base then put one of those giant plastic buckets decorated and painted like a cauldren the kind people use as coolers for beer or sodas . put a hole in the bottom of it and a hole on the base box so ure actually in both. it will work fine and will be cheap.
