Hi, I"m a newbie and have been reading all about Prop-1, Prop-2, VSA, Vixen, Kit 74, DMX, Helmsman, etc. for weeks. I'm ready to move forward, but having a difficult time seeing through one of my desired effects.
In essence, I'm going to have a dark room with a 5.1 surround system where voices will appear to surround the victim, move from place to place, get closer ,etc.
I've been able to use Adobe Audition to create a 6 channel .wav file that sounds perfect through windows media player, VLC, etc. However, when I try to load it into VSA, VSA craps out. I've emailed support, but have received no response.
When I load the .wav file into Vixen, Vixen seems to convert it to 2 channel stereo.
I'm open to just about any solution. Anyone have one?

That is weird! I would think it should work fine.
I had a sound file problem too. Not sure if this will help you.....And it took my engineer hubby to do it for me.
My file was a 5.1 audio .avi file. VSA needed to be fooled that it was a .wav file (which is why I'm surprised you are having problems). Anyway, hubby went into a command window and simply changed the file extension of the .avi file to say .wav. Surprisingly...that took!
