I was watching extreme paranormal and they said jacobs ladders are meant to make a spirit appear from the electrical charges from the ladder.

Has anybody ever had any experiences in using a jacobs ladder?

I've been running my Jacob's Ladder for weeks and no spirits have appeared yet. I wish it was true... it'd be great to turn it on and have a bottle of vodka come visit!

I thought electric fields were supposed to dampen "spiritual energy".

Seriously, though, you could easily turn yourself into a ghost if you aren't careful around a jacob's ladder.

I was watching something similar on Discovery channel - Ghost Lab - where they used an exposed Tesla Coil to "energize" the air, and spirits could feed off that energy to appear.

You could try that, but good luck keeping it safe from the ToTs! Exposed high voltage... yikes.

My Jacobs Ladder is encased in Plexiglas so you can see and hear it, but can't touch the 15,000 volts!
