Woke up this morning and vandals had ripped off two sections of our fence and stolen 3 hand made tombstones and a 7 foot tall grim reaper. Mother F*&^#@! The reaper had like 40 pounds of bricks on the base! One of the fence sections was found by neighbors around the corner of our house and brought back but it is ruined. I can not imagine the labor that went into these things. Grrrrrrrrr

What's with people these days? There's just no respect for property.

F*** I know last year me and my brother made a scare crow and it was stolen. All we found was the head which was 2 streets down destroyed. Sorry I hope those idiots get what they deserve.

If I read one more thread about vandals screwing with people's props I'll go crazy !!!!

What a shame. I am truly sorry.
You know you have a successful haunt when the ADULT visitors pee their pants.

we had some vandalism our first year of our "big haunt" - 5 years ago. Since then, we put everything out on Halloween morning, and it all comes in again after the TOT's stop.

It really is a shame. I have had so many people want me to put my stuff up early, but I just can't afford to have it broken or stolen by vandals. And we live in a fairly wealthy neighbourhood - but of course, those are the worst sometimes! LOL

at the very least, signs that threaten its being watched by cameras and buy some dummy ones.

If you want info on real cameras, let me know

This type of thing makes me feel sick! We're in a new town this year, and although it's one of the nicest neighborhoods around, I'm still holding off until a day of two before Halloween to put out most of the stuff, and the big, time-consuming props aren't out until that evening.

It's just a sad state of affairs...

I am paranoid about stuff like this, it is total BS and I hate waiting all year to only put my stuff up for one day :/

    ARRRGGHHH!!!! Mean people suck!!!

    So sorry that this happened.

Having read umpteen dozen threads on here about this happening, the vast majority of our stuff is still on our back porch. I'm waiting as close as we can to Halloween to put it all out.

That really sucks!! I also keep my big props out of harms way till Halloween night.

Too bad you didn't catch them you could have had a very realistic massacre scene as part of your display
