I am working on my "Creature from the Black Lagoon" prop, it will be a bust prop and be in my pond.
I have started covering it in Latex Caulk which is fairly cheap.
Is there something else I should use or will the latex caulk be good enough.

Also I want to have led glowing eyes, does anyone have any idea for an airtight battery compartment. I was thinking of a waterproof flashlight.

What is your base medium you are working with? You say you are covering it with latex caulk.

Are the lights going to be submerged?
You might be able to use plexiglass & aquarium caulk to make an airtight compartment. Maybe a pond light could be used instead.

Yes, I m not worried about waterproofing the LED's I'm more concerned about waterproofing the power supply.
Someone on another forum suggested Glow Sticks, I think that just may work.

My other option is as you said, use a project box and seal it, but I can put in a waterproof switch and just take it apart when the batteries die.

Depending on how big your power supply is, maybe something like this Ofna Waterproof Radio Box 34030 and use silicone caulk to seal up the line in and out instead of latex.. silicone will give you better results than latex when making sure you want no water to penetrate.

Silicone aquarium sealant can be bought quite cheaply from aquatic hobby stores...

    It's made for the job.
