I just added a bamboo archway to my Pirate ship yard haunt. I found some 3" diameter bamboo at the local Orchard Supply Hardware store.
I cut four pieces of 1/2 rebar into 3" lengths and pounded them into the ground for the corner post supports. I then used four 8' sections of bamboo for the corner posts and then two 6" sections for the top crossbars. I took three 6' sections of bamboo and cut them in half to use as stringers between the corner posts.
I drilled holes at all the junctions and zip tied everything together. I followed up with short sections of rope at all the junctions to hide the zip ties.
To finish it off, I found some shrunken heads and a couple of small "Wind Chime" skeletons. I am going to add some spider webs for the final touch......
