    Hello All,

I made my first coffin today. The weather was finally sunny and warm in the sun, so Decided to make a coffin! (I was going to anyway but the weather cooperated)

    I followed ScareFX.com's coffin plan.

    ScareFX Coffin Project

The total cost was $28.00 after taxes.

I havent decided what do do with it yet, but I'm going to get some grey and black paint and paint it. Also had a neighbor ask me why I would build such a thing. My responce was "why not, does anyone else in the neighborhood have one?".

All in all, $28.00 is cheap and I'd definately build another!

Nice job........ If you really want to screw with your neighbors, do what I do, climb in and jump out when they walk by! Mine say "I can't believe you get in that thing" I just reply, we all do sooner or later........

Nice build fordman! I made a couple coffins from the same plans last year and they turned out great also. On a side note if you happen to have access to pallets you can also break them down and use the boards and scab them together with cross braces and pretty much follow the same plans. Though it may be cheaper it will definitely be much more labor intensive because pallet breaking can be punishing work.

None of my neighbors asked about the coffins last year but over this weekend I was out side building several more coffins ... I can only imagine what the rumor mill will bring in the coming weeks. Especially when I decide to keep them outside for a bit past November 1st. When someone asks I will keep the reply you used in mind.

Thanks for the Kind words! Easy project and inexspensive! If you look at the pic below, you will see in the upper left corner, I also was working on an electric chair! That was made totally out of scraps except for the flouresent starters. I'll post that build when I'm done with it!

I see how someone could get prop-building addicted!

Another good response would be "I made it for you.", unless of course you want to talk to them again.....and remember, you can leave toepincher coffins in the yard all year. They make great flower beds.
Who says it's not smart to be putting props on the roof at midnight?
