Well it was a weekend of finishing touches on our second coffin. The coffin lids now have hinges and are attached, the skirt is done and the handles are on the side.
This is Uncle Karel Daver (a play on cadaver in dutch). He is the long lost rich uncle that will be on display at our party this year for our funeral theme. The guests are all possible heirs to his fortune. He is pneumatic and at a certain point during the party will pop up and talk.
For the party, he will be surrounded by the usual funeral parlor items....funeral wreath, candles, table with photo, memory book and single rose. Our skeletal organist from last year will be in charge of the music
Hubby said afterwards that he could have built the coffin a bit longer and wider. We had to stuff him in lol Hubby gets credit for the build and pneumatics. I did the paint job, lining, body, and other detail work. Just wish I could have found a better mask. Always a problem here.
Let me know what you think!

Great job! I don't think the coffin is too large...it looks cozy! :-)
I don't think the mask is bad at all. It works well with the suit and it has that "crazy rich uncle" look to it.
Well done!_____________________________________
