Thread: Went to FrightWorld last night.

For those that don't know its a rented out building with 5 haunted sections. The five themes were: Wicked Woods, Carnevil, Mummy's Curse, House of the Dead and Phobiaz. Here is how I ranked them from best to worst and why:

1. Wicked Woods had the best production value. A lot of trees and such it felt just right atmosphere wise. The scares were good and the chainsaw actors added that final touch.

2. House of the Dead had the best scares people jumping in and out here and there. It was your typical haunted house stuff.

3. Carn Evil the most unique theme area in 3-D. Let me tell you if you never been through a Vortex Tunnel now is your shot to experience it. The best felling you can get. This put icing on my cake because it was the last thing I did.

4. Phobiaz very dark, snakes and such. The only really memorable part was the claustrophobia part.

5. Mummy's Curse very plain and boring I didn't see much worth getting crazy about.

Best of the best...Vortex tunnel, laser room, headless horseman air prop in the main lobby...the DMX lighting in the main lobby. For $20 a head it was fair but I think if they redirected your attention elsewhere then popped out it work have been better.

sounds cool i wish i had a big building i would have a year round haunted house and change the themes each month lol

i live right near fright world in fact i just got a backstage tour. and nah its not open all year its set up but not open.

Oh really it's set-up all year? I was wondering if they ripped it down similar to Spirit. I wouldn't think they would pay the lease on that building for the other 9 months. Then again I saw like 300 people there on Sat and at $20 bucks a pop that can add up fast. It would be a huge hassle to tear that down. For them to find another location would also be a pain. The old Bon-Ton works great.

yeah ur right just think if they tore down that wicked woods! all that dirt and water/ponds!
