So, I have been searching for a bottom piece for a stack of luggage for a while. I was looking for an old pre 70's suitcase at first, or a trunk... but it had to be big enough to hold a fog machine. I was discussing my whole plans and idea in another thread here: Need help and advice fine tuning my fog idea
Well, I actually posted a WANT AD on craigslist, not thinking anything of it or really expecting anything, but I got an overwhelming response.
now I get to pick this up tomorrow for $20!!!!!! It's so perfect and right down the street from me... I'm excited.

Congratulations! I found one very similar to that over the summer at a church rummage sale. I hope yours doesn't stink like mine did. I think it had been sitting in someone's damp basement for 70 years. Leaving it outside in the sun and wind for a week helped with the smell.

Skaunit, what a great idea! I had a friend at work give me a steamer trunk a couple of months ago. He knows I'm a Halloween freak and said maybe I could make a prop out of it. I've been thinking of what I could do with it and you just answered that! I won't do anything as elaborate as you but it would make a great place to hide my fog chiller. Thanks for the inspiration!
fravak, mine stunk to high heaven too...........I'm all that's left of a bizarre childhood.......

BE VERY CAREFUL !!!! If you believe in ghost. My mother bought a old steamer trunk at a antique store and it came equipped with a ghost. A teen age girl and her dog. Right after my mother brought it home we started seeing her. Everyone in our family has seen her and a few of my friend that have spent the night. I passed her on the stairs one night that was kinda weird. She was very cold.
Anyhow that's what we got with our steamer trunk.
