Hey, all!
I was wondering if anyone could offer me some advice: I've been a static scarecrow/corpse prop, and need to light it. Sadly, the spotlights at my local Lowe's are all $35-$40. How do I make a yellow spotlight on the cheap? If anyone can help, I'd much appreciate it! Thanks!

get some floodlight fixtures and bulbs from the x-mas section (the x-mas bulbs tend to be more vibrant colors than the regular flood light bulbs, but there's nothing wrong with the other ones). Shouldn't cost you more than $10 each

Hey, Mr. Chicken,
Thanks a million! I will definitely check the Christmas section! I didn't know that they were that cheap! Thanks again!

You can use the inexpensive clamp work lights and standard bulbs with photo gels.

Go for the 5.5" one (most narrow) to get a more focused spotlight effect.
I've found the colored compact fluorescent bulbs they have at Lowes and Home Depot to give a very strong color cast. I've picked one up in every color (Red, Yellow, Orange, Blue, Green, Blacklight).
Plus! A screw-in blacklight bulb that actually WORKS! Awesome.

Or you can buy some LED's (although it is late in the season) and your crow could like like this:

Love your props and lighting Rupertoooo. Is this from this year's haunt?

I use a par 38 outdoor single ground spiked spotlight with an amber par 38 bulb.
