Never seen one in person and I am not sure how electronically inclined you are.. but I would just add a male phono jack to the wire that goes from the sound chip to the amplifier. You could then plug in any input you want.

The only risk is bricking an expensive christmas decoration...

My suggestion, if you can, would be to pick a simple multi channel light organ kit from an electronic store that sells ready to assemble kits (Frys, Radio Shack?) Simple to assemble (if you can solder) and only 10 or 20 bucks. So if you mess up it will not be a forehead smacking moment...

I've got a Mr. Christmas, but I don't know of any way to hack it to add your own sound/music.
Someone on this forum posted a video last year using the Mr. Christmas. Several pumpkins were plugged in to it, but with the volume turned all the way down. The music they wanted heard was played over seperate speakers and the pumpkins just flashed to the sequence of whatever Christmas song (unheard) was currently being played by the Mr. Christmas.
    It actually looked pretty good.
With time so short, this might be your only solution for this Halloween.

There have been several versions of the Mr. Christmas lights and sounds of christmas device, some labelled GE, some labelled Mr. Christmas. The only ones that I'm aware of that can easily be used for Halloween are those that contain the input jack for the mp3 player. The others would involve some experimentation, as the board is pretty much unlabelled and you'd have to guess what chip is doing what by the chips themselves.
