Would be perfect for an alien theme. I kept thinking the were going to say it was part of a Halloween display.
Anyone know where to get balloon grade mylar or what it would be called? I would use a blower, not helium...

They chopped that one up with an axe.

That happened here in Colorado yesterday, I knew it wasn't real - I watch Mythbusters and knew that was not enough helium to lift a 6 year old!

Heat knocks out helium also, I would want it with just an air blower. I am finding Mylar, just not sure if it is heavy enough, it would work great for a robot costume. I really love the idea of Aliens for Halloween.
Frankly I was afraid they had murdered this child and were using this to try to cover the tracks. You just never know about people.

Reminds me I need to get back to a little hobby of mine. I like to fly dark color kites at night with glow sticks attached and freak the neighbors out.
I keep hoping to see some video on the news. LOL
But the mylar gives me an idea... why not make it static on the roof and built with the foil backed insulation board? You would only need half the saucer for the street side view, and adding lighting effects would be so much easier. What doesn't kill you can still make you walk funny.

I think 3D on the ground would be best, because I am visible from two sides, plus the wind here gets so bad that it would be hard to keep stuff on the roof.
I have a whole year to figure it out, just glad to see it CAN be done lol.
