Thread: Haunted, Creepy Hospital Room Ideas?

We are looking to turn our garage into a Haunted Hospital and have a few ideas on what to do especially with the Swine flu epidemic we plan on taking a page from it to incorporate it into our haunt. I just want to see if anyone else has any ideas. We also need something to interact with "victims" Thanks

The first thing that came to mind when you mentioned hospital was Stephen Kings' book/tv series "Kingdom Hospital". It was a favorite show of mine. The cast was great. I loved the history of the old hospital and was creeped out by the civil war timeframe experimentations that went on there. Medicine and research was pretty guesome back then. I'm sure you can get some great visual ideas from it if not by renting the dvds then by looking around websites for images from it. I think giving your hospital a background will be a great start and will probably spur ideas on which things to do. Here's a quick wikipedia summary of KH:

You could have a zombified nurse going around among the ToTers with a clipboard asking for donations for the hospital...not monetary or candy mind you but body parts... You could advertise a blood drive for vampires. Personally I think ghouls with cotton masks can look pretty scary behind those things. A quick prop could be a body on a gurney (table). If you put one of those haunted hedge props (sound activated and it shakes) attached to the body under a sheet, you could have a body that goes into convulsions.

Check out the hospital scene in "Silent Hill".

Maybe the obvious but a shelf with jars full of body parts, ie - fingers, eyes, heart etc.
a table with some instruments like scalpel, forceps and so on, strategically place them on the table and then drench them in fake blood, a bit like a messy surgeon.
a hospital bed with someone under a white sheet (as in dead body covered up), lashings of fake blood on the sheet to make it look like underneath the sheet is a bloody mess, and just when the guest least expect it the body sits up.
