Hey all,
I have 3 or 4 of these mini strobe lights, the one you plug in and it just stays on, blinking based on a knob on the back, from slow to fast. While I think they would be good for a home DJ/party... they are completely useless for any props that you may want to say, trigger when someone walks by, or a few for a random lightning effect.
So, has anyone done anything with these in such a way that you can control the actual trigger of them, preferably a single flash when you activate it, say by a timer, or by a motion detector? Or any other ideas on how to make use of them other than just leaving them turned on and flashing like crazy?

Sweet.. how did you hook it up tho? Did you turn the knob on the back all the way down so it flashes like once a second.. or did you open it up, replace the pot with two leads, and use those leads with the motion sensor or whatever to trigger it?

That could work skullboy, but I got these four strobe things already sitting here, hate to waste them.. they do a nice job of a short bright burst of light. Was hoping I could just use these rather than spend more money on a socket and bulb.
