Yes but i don't have any photos I don't think. I will look to see If I can Find one. I built a hanging bracket out of 2x4s. Then I made a noose and hung a bucky from it. We had a bay window in the corner bedroom of the house facing the front. I turned out the lights in the room so it was pitch black. Put a strobe up high in the room. Played a Lightning sound track with the strobe on a sound sensor. It looked totally outrages. It you could imagine walking up to the house see a totally black room. Hearing the thunder and see a skeleton hanging in the room. I might ad that you could not see the hanging bracket so it look like he was hanging from the ceiling.

I'm not looking to make a mechanical one. I just need to make one that I can hang from some 2x4's. Just not sure what to use to make the dummy.

    Thanks!

Here's a pic our our hangng man, name of Lefty, dressed as a pirate.

Underneath the pirate costume, Lefty wears long johns, blue jeans and cowboy boots. We made Lefty by first buying a stuffed latex head from Spirit. It came with a molded partial hangman's noose around the neck and part way up a metal rod with a ring around the end. We tied a rope to the ring and added some rope loops to complete the 13 noose loops. I ran a wire from the ring down through the head and out the neck. The whole body then hangs from this wire. I used a large block of styrofoam to make shoulders, running the wire through and tieing it to a piece of PVC crosswise along the width of the foam. A long underwear shirt went over the foam sholders. Fake hands (both left, hence the name) were then glued inside the ends of the sleeves.

We glued the tops of cowboy boots inside the legs of blue jeans for feet. Stuffed cotton batting into the pants and upper torso and then used suspendors over the shoulders to attach the pants (lower half) to the torso (upper half), also glueing the longjohns to the levis.

I use a long teloscopic pole to hang a roop loop to the rafter beam at the top of my house. I run contractor's string through the loop before lifting it in place. Once the loop is secured over the beam, I tie the string to the rope and use it to pull the hanging rope through the rope ring and pull Lefty aloft.
