Okay, I cranked up the ambient light somewhat so now it looks kind of like moon light. You can see the columns much better. The lanterns on the columns now have AC flicker bulbs which work much better than the crappy tea-light battery powered ones I was using before.

What are you using for lighting? I am using flood lights but they are only so good. I like your lighting a lot!

I love your columns and the shack with the organ. The whole display is great!

Yes, I'm curious to know what the lighting is, as well. I've got some strobes around displays, but at our new house, I'm afraid the lighting is not the greatest.

I'd like to balance the lighting with the carnival back-lot feel of cords running everywhere

I too would love to know more about good lighting for various things. For example, the graveyard scene I have is like 3 or 4 tombstones, nothing great..I put some crappy look skeleton pieces out.. slowly growing my display. I would love to get some dirt to put around... but not sure the best way to light these.. do I light every tombstone.. because my concern is the power I will need lol. I have an outlet out front, and an outlet in my garage that I'll run a 100 foot 12guage extension from. One is for the fog machine. The other I figured extension cord for lights. I only have 3 can lights right now, two with black bulbs, one with white. If my webbing works out with the UV sensitive webs, I will need two black lights to light those up most likely. I can pick up another light or two, but would love some advice on how ya'll are lighting things up. I don't really have any big props in my yard, might have a small witch hanging from one tree and that might be kewl to light up. I am still toying with the idea of a motion detector + strobe light to flash a prop when someone walks by.

Thanks everybody. It's still a work in progress. The 5-digital servo talking witch w/ stirring cauldron has yet to be finished along with some other animated props that aren't out yet.

As far the lighting, here's what I used:

I used 14 outdoor 36-LED bulbs that I got from here:
36 LED Bulb - Minions Web Cob Web Guns, LED Light Bulbs, Air Cannons, Halloween and Haunted House Supplies

Here are the colors that I used:
    3 red
    3 green
    3 blue
    2 uv
    1 orange
    1 yellow
    1 white

I have 1 100-watt blue flood that is 20+ feet up in a tree. It is dimmed to about 50 watts using a convential dimmer switch.

I have 2 90-watt white floods for my lightning effect, but you can't see that in these pictures.

I have AC flicker bulbs (C7 type) in all the lanterns.

All of the LED lights are in stake light sockets. Some of them are in makeshift light baffles that I made from painting a paint cup liner black. It works okay, but not great. I don't have any coffee cans to use or I'd try that. Anybody else have any other tricks to use for light baffles, on the cheap?
