This is probably about 1/100 as cool as markgoodson's awesome haunted organ, but I just had to get this thing done and over with so I can finish some other projects before Saturday night's grand opening.
First the pictures:
This is not the best motion, and I'm a little disappointed, but it will have to do for this year. Possibly I'll rebuild it next year.

Yeah, you picked the wrong year to build one lol
Slow moving keys can add to the creep factor. AND, your keys do move, even if slow
The scene/lean to that you set up for it looks really great! Love the lighting and it makes the pipes look even creepier.
Oh and very creative use of hot glue globs!

good looking organ. The movement is slow but that may add to the creep factor.
Eventhough I am Dead it is always warm inside my bed.

Great Job on the Organ! I had a very slow moving cam as well. However I stumbled across a solution ( I mean I'm so brilliant I made this thing from scratch ) YA RIGHT!

The Piano I used was an upright piano. The keys when left alone are in a down position. The ones I wanted to stay up I put a tack behind them and rubber band them up. I Installed the cam on the top of the keys. This way the screw will push down on the key lifting it up. The Notch in my drawing was already in the keys. I just had to move the cam over. See how I stumbled across it.
It looks like in your video that you used PVC as your cam? If so if you drill a hole in the PVC and screw in screws you can adjust the play of the keys. How far the go up and down. Anyhow that's what I did. I'm just throwing some ideas your way.
Anyhow here is the solution I came across. It doesn't matter how fast your cam is. Th keys will go down fast and up slow. Giving a really cool look. I will post a video of the keys on Friday. As you can see in the second diagram the piece of foam pushes the back of the key up forcing the key in front of the piano down as soon as the screw passes the midway point. The key doesn't ride in the screw back down.
Again Great job on the organ. I like the copper pipe color.

Thanks for the info, Mr. Death. It's kind of hard to tell what I'm looking at in your diagram, though. Which is the front and which is the back of the keys? Where's the pivot point for the keys? I'm not sure I'd be able to use that in mine. The pivot point for the keys is at the very rear of the keys. I'd have to extend the back of the keys significantly, and I didn't find a good way to do that. Also, If I remove the springs from the keys, the keys will go down on their own from gravity, so I'm not sure I'd need the foam.
Had a failure last night. The cam shaft got loose and is no longer turning. Oh well. Guess I need to drag the whole thing back to the garage. Ugh. I have so many other things to finish that I may just leave it.Xpendable
