I got these lantern posts and lanterns earlier in the summer. While at Michaels last week they had four foam half skulls so I got them, figuring I'd use them somewhere. Got the idea of just drilling out the skull a bit and here's the end result. There will be four of these along the path to the garage where the "witches" will be handing out candy.

I've been looking for some skulls w/o the lower jaw like that.
    How much were they?

They were 6 bucks at Michaels. If you have the 40% off coupons, it helps a bit.

I had the same idea last year, bought the $6 skulls and I replaced some garden tools last summer so I used the handles from the old ones as stakes and painted some cracks and this was the result.

Those look great! I did the same with some old bamboo tiki torch stakes. I've got skulls all over!

    Very cool ideas...

I made these out of copper wire and used them as column toppers

    Looks great!

I found some weathered looking lanterns to hang from our facade. I was planning on putting the skulls inside with a tealight lol

Awesome. We have a box full of foam skulls from Michael's. We get coupons from friends, and via e-mail, and every time we're in there, we pick up a couple. Take a look at my signature! : )
