    Default weed wacker motor – 10-06-2009,10:07 AM


    Took a 7200 rpm motor out of an old weed wacker I had and connected to the speed contoller from Harbor frieght and bam, a great axworthy motor. I am pretty excited over it and hopefully it won't burn out....

    Anyone else try a weed wacker motor?

    No experience, but I just had the line head bust off of my trimmer so I've got a fresh motor waiting to be used. Please let me know how it turns out for ya.

    motor works great with a speed controller - just need to better grade of line as it keeps snapping.. Going with 50 lbs test
