I have found 2 methods of making a "live" hangman prop w/ a wiper motor:
1. This one physically moves the legs

2. This one (I think) relies on vibration to move the legs.

Anyone have a video of the 2nd method in action?
Which one would be the best as far as easiness, durability, and effect? What is your vote and why?
Thanks!

ive used two hanging corpses, "the bobs", for years...well since the movie "office space" come out (which is where they go their names). I use something similar to the first method which works really well. Ive seen many designs that are vibratory and they just dont get the movement that I like.
my vote is for the first method.

That is what I'm thinking.

I used an air motor for mine, but a wiper motor could be used in the same fashion. I used chains running to each of the legs to give each leg independent movement. You don't get as much swinging movement, but I think it looks more realistic.

Can you show me a pic of the spot where the motor attaches at the waist? I've got a wiper motor waiting for this one! Love the motion...

I will cover up the sound with screaming S-FX. I don't have pictures of the leg connection but look at the videos & instructions I found and posted. I think they show it.
