Hey folks. Just finished th chair part of my electric chair and need to finish the electric part. Basically I will have a strobe and sander plugged into a surge strip underneath it. I want to run conduit to some sort of handheld button to make it fun for party attendees to trigger this on others. So I am looking for a large or ornate momentary push button that I can splice into the surge protector line ( so needs to be rated at 120vac). Does anyone have something like this or know where I can get one?

Maybe you could use a foot switch then build a large fake knife switch. Stepping on the foot pedal when you throw the switch. - Harbor Freight Tools - Quality Tools at the Lowest Prices

Or, you could power a relay with whatever (low) voltage, and have it trip the AC. That way, you can make any kind of switch you want (e.g.: big knife switch), and not worry about real electrocution

I like the idea of using a 12vdc switch... There are some very interesting kinds that would fit the chair look. Can you or anyone else help with the type of relay and wiring?

SIDE NOTE: Radio Shack no longer has people who know ANYTHING about this stuff... I have to find some sort of resource on things like this electrical.
