I roughed mine up by rubbing dirt over the thing.
I though of spraying it with a clear satin sealer but the dirt was free.
I am sure others will chime in on this one for you.Scaring the crap out of people since 1993.

Minwax Polycrylic Protective Finish is available as a satin spray finish. It may yellow in the sunlight over time, though you probably won't notice it on a corpsed bucky.

Clear Spray Paint might do the trick. Although i think that dirt will be the cheapest way to go. Whatever you do just try it on a small part of the skelly so in case you don't like it you didn't ruin the whole thing. i learned that the hard way.

Yeah, for some reason, the new bucky's are very glossy. Luckily, I'm corpsing the new one I got. The old ones were dull, and looked great when you stained them up. I use Minwax Fruitwood stain for aged bone.
