Thread: Naming our Cemetery

Hello All!!


Well, time has come for us to start in on our pillars for our cemetery gates. My fiance will be fashioning a plaque with the cemetery name on it. However, we are both drawing blanks on what to name it.....so in instances as such, we turn to you all for inspiration!

We had been thinking of somehow making a play on names (off either our own names, our sub division name, or our street name).

Last name is Hawkins.....Street name is Fawn Ridge, and subdivision is Walnut trace...if you can think of any clever names out of any of those, we would genuinely appreciate it!

Hmmm...not much very creepy about a baby deer or a nut. I'd focus on the name. Hawkins Institution, Hawkins Haunt, Hawkins Haunted Hell....

I think we may lean toward the Haunted Hell one..since I was wanting something with the word hell...lol...

Walnut Trace Cemetery sounds like a real place, something you'd see in a horror movie, like when the actors wander through the gate and you see the sign "Walnut Trace Cemetery 1865" or some such

I think your name sounds cool enough for a cemetery. Hawkins Ridge sounds real.
