Thread: Second year in new house

Ok last year I learned that many people would not take the spooky path up to the house instead they would go up the driveway and to the front door. So I would like to add an air cannon like the ones I have seen on this site that uses a compressor and sprinkler valve. I have a reporter drive way alarm that I want to place by the garage door as the trigger, like this Reporter Wireless Alert System with Remote Sensor and Receiver : Target
. It has a 10amp output and I can silence the buzzer. I figure that could hook to the valve and open it to blast the air. I will hook this to my 35gal air compressor thats in the garage and use the regulator to tone down the air pressure. I just want to give a little something extra for those taking the easy way out. Is there anything you can see that is amiss with my design. Thank you all for your help.

The output is AC so that may not work since I presume the valve is DC.
Is there a converter or controller I can use?
