    hi all this is my first post on here. ive just joined tonite. can anyone tell me how i can get a ghoul or a ghost move up and down while hanging from a tree would like it to move about 10to15 feet. dont have lotsa money so am really looking for a cheap way to do this thanks in advace chris

    use a whiper motor. Whiper moters can be found at monsterguts.com

    When I was a kid, I took a BBQ motor, took a bolt ground the end square to fit into the square hole and glued it with epoxy. On the screw I had a large wood wheel I cut out, with a screw on one outside edge. Mount this to a board on the bottom of the tree. Put a pully in the tree with the ghost, hook the end of the rope to a large washer and put it over the end of the bolt. Goes up a down slowly, but in the dark it's scary!

    I use reindeer motors for most of my props that are animated. They're only about 10 bucks and they work great. Also I think that you should use hobbyshops idea with the wheel and the pulley. Let us know what you come up with
