Just sharing my newest finished prop. It started out as a second hand store lamp. I added the skull, re-wired the socket while addind a longer threaded rod. The existing candle portion and skull were faux wax dripped with glue gun, then candle and drippings were painted. The lamp shade was distressed by scraping a box cutter blade across the fabric thinning it out, as well as making slices with the grain of the material. To further age the shade tea was poured over it. All in all a very easy project and inexpensive.

That's a great lamp and the shade damaged and tilted at an angle really tops it off!

Your prop looks great! I like how the tea staining and the damage make the lampshade look so "neglected". Good job!
