Does anyone know how I can make an antique/old fashioned looking spell book? I know I can use any blank journal without lines, but I'd prefer to make it look more real. I will be using it for real spells and information so it has to look real.

    Any ideas? Thank you all!!

well you can take the no line paper and give them burn and smoke damage after you put the info on there then bind them with twine or something along them lines

You can also buy a blank Book Of Shadows from any witchcraft supply store. You could then age the pages by soaking them or rubbing them with strong coffee. You would write on the pages first.

Cover the exterior with muslin. Paste it on, then give it another coat of paste when it is done.

Spatter with candle wax and rub in coffee grounds to distress it.

I've heard of some people smearing Liquid Nails on the cover and painting it to give it a 'skin-bound' look.

Or just do what Dave did...

We took an old photo album and printed out some things from the internet. Distressed the pages and glued them on...Ended up looking pretty good...Once I dig it out of its box I'll post a pic.
