I am thinking about undertaking a singing skull project and i need some info.
i am thinking of buying MIDI Controlled Animated Talking Skull.
    is this a good buy?
    has anyone used it?
what do i need to program the movement and music?
dose it have to be connected to the computer the hole time?

    thank you for your time

Those are the same skull as the Talking Boris type only they've added a simple midi motor or midi servo controller. You will need some type of midi sequencing software on your PC and I believe you would also need some way of syncing a voice track to the midi sequence you create since you would be sending midi note data to the skull. I've seen this before where a guy controlled his skull from a midi (piano) keyboard. Yes it would have to be connected to something that generates a midi signal (computer, keyboard, midi sequnecer box....).

I use midi strictly for music but it is being used to control all kinds of devices now. It might be fun to play with but I'll stick to servo controllers and VSA or Vixen to control my props for now.

AUTOMAT3D Blog Archive Gemmy Skull MIDI Hack

I bought the skull and board just to screw around with. If things go smooth I'll put it in this years setup...if not next year.
