    Default errie and creepy books – 09-03-2009,04:31 AM


    This is my 1st shot at making an eerie book. It'll go with our Zombie lounge theme this halloween. The book is titled "Vodoo Potions, Tonics and Elixers. I took an old bartending for dummies book and bound it with a hardcover. The Tiki was cut out of the back of a notebook and layered to get depth then glued to the cover. I then applied layers of paper towels with a glue water mix (40% glue 60% water). After 2 more coats of glue water I painted while wet with acrylics. A little paper towel dabbing and twisting and a coat of white glue and you get the finished product. I also tea dyed the edges of the pages. A big thanks to Dave Lowe Design for the how to.

    Looks great! I love the font you used on the word VooDoo! What font is that or did you design it yourself?
