EEEeeewwww! I love it. Have you thought about gluing ears to the head? I used cardboard to make the ears for my zombie half-head.
I heard of a simple technique last year that you might be able to use for skin-i-fying a head.
Buy the tan colored suede (it might be pleather) from a craft store. Cut it in irregular shapes, then glue it to the head, putting it back together like a puzzle. Accent the lines with red paint and/or stiches. It will look like skin that has been ripped off sewn back on.Successfully scaring little kids since 1990.
