    Started with a sheet of plywood, split in half (one for the back and the other for the front pieces), so the skull is approx. 4' x 4'.

    I want to take the time to thank you for sharing. It only took me a year to get to it but with the program you recommended, Rasterbater (which I use a lot), I followed your lead and finally made my skull. My next project was the first of many EVIL CLOWNS! I thought I'd post a couple of pics to show you how I made out and my progress. Let me know how I did?? I was surprised how easy these were to Make!

    put spacers between the two layers and run rope light between it so you get the back panel lit up but the front panel still blacks out the skull.

    Great job on that clown, rmwitch. If the nose were a simpler design, you could stick a large bowl or round plastic light cover over it (painted red, of course) and really add to the 3D effect.
