Had a bunch of old lumber from skids I tore apart and I needed a treasure chest for my pirates, and here is what I came up with.....

Yes, 5 degree tapers, and the sides are tapered at 5 degrees also.

Beautifully done! Well beyond my limited carpentry skills. Unfortunately I also have an innate fear of miter saws.

That looks great. I didn't think I had time to try and build one, so I bought one off ebay that does not look nearly as good.

you should have a ghoulish pirate pop out with a handful of candy! or use it as the candy dish (with a false bottom of course, that'd be a whole lotta candy lol)

Awesome use of pallet wood! The fit and craftsmanship looks great!

Now just hit some Tag Sales for cheap jewery, Oriental trading for some fake coins, and load it up!
