I came a cross 15 pallets that were old and weather. I got them for $30 but to me it was a good deal. They were outside for a while and I got enough to make my Coffin, my Monster in a box (to come), and my grave yard fence (to come).
This is what I made yesterday. It is a full size toe-pincher. Im not sure about the animation yet. I think I will get a wiper motor, and maybe make a hand come out too.. It took me a day to build because I was using the old sweat and pull method on takin the pallets apart. When I start my MIB im going to break out the sawzall.. here are some pictures:

Pellets make wonderful wood for distressed items. Well done!

Looks great. Also you are so on the right track with the Sawzall (plus a hubby to do it for you). Only way to go!

Hey here is a tip I got from the DIY Network. To age wood they used a pump up spray bottle and filled it with water (1 gal.) and baking soda (1 cup more I think), as the sun dries the wood it would age in just a few hours to a gray look. Maybe a good use for that old box in the fridge.

Looks awesome. I love the haphazard placing of the boards on front. It looks old and...rundown? haha Whatever the word, it looks good. I like how it doesn't look perfect.

Looks great! I just built my first toe pincher coffin today as well. I already have the MIB thing going, at least in test mode. Still need to wire up the motion sensor and what not.
