I was wondering if anyone know of any software or Flash animations that would be useful for utilizing a computer and display as part of the decorations and props? Specifically, I'm setting up a mad scientist's lab and was thinking of adding a LCD display as part of the instruments.

I also have this unusual touch screen PC sitting around with Windows98 on it...

I could use this in a similar fashion after painting the case if I come up with appropriate software.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

I have seen matrix screen savers. You know a display of binary with that trickle affect. This "might" fit in your theme. Beyond that, have you poked around Flash Kit, A Flash Developer Resource for Macromedia Flash MX Tutorials SWF FLA images clipart Sounds WAVS Animations Help and Support at all? You might find something there.

Since I play with Home Automation, the first thing that comes to mind for me would be to write a simple visual basic touch screen application with buttons on it, then using some old X-10 modules, connect up some lights, motors and other effects. Then the guests would be able to turn things on and off themselves via the touch screen computer.

Thanks for the tips. I found some Star Trek flash animations that look very cool. Some have bodies or brains and I think they'll do the trick if I don't find anything a bit more old fashioned looking.
