The barrel is finished, but I'm just waiting for the lifter mechanism to finish of the pneumatic guts. This will be a trash can trauma style prop.

Very cool. Can you post a pic of it in a daek setting to show how it glows. I might need one of these to go beside my Toxic Puker.

I wanted to do something similar this year to use as our garbage can. Where did you get the biohazard sign for the side, or did you make it? Looks great!

What a cool idea to have the rope lights under the Great Stuff. Awesome prop so far.

I asked my neighbor today if he knew where I could get a barrel & he said he has one I could have. And he'll even cut the top off for me!

wow, that looks awesome !!
I was thinking of "throwing together" a toxic dump for the corner of the driveway, this has certainly given lots of inspiration.
I'm also thinking that the ropelight and foam may look good on a witches cauldron
Many thanks for sharing

That looks great! I'm planning on building one for this year as well. I was going to use a metal drum because I thought it would give a better look and sound. It'll also be easy to distress. The ropelight and Great Stuff foam is an excellent touch. Can I ask how you managed to cleanly paint the foam without getting it all over the barrel? Also, what type of paint did you use?
Thanks!
