I finished my first Prop for this year. A Coffin made from Pallets. Full size Toe Pincher from Pallets, furing strips, and a plywood back. I'm trying to decide whether to hinge the lid or not. I pulled the pallets apart on tuesday. Brought the plywood and strips home on wednesday afternoon. Worked on it till 11:00 that night. Finished everything except final assembly of the lid. Finished that today and got the screw tips ground down inside. I actually started a shiatsu hack before this one. But haven't finished it yet. Overall a fun project. I've wanteda coffin forever.

That looks awesome! I love the toe pincher style and have always wanted to do one from pallets. Great job!

I would nominate this for best use of pallets in the coffin category.

very nice! Does it weigh a ton like mine does...it gets to be a pain to move it around year after year. Is this pic in your basement? Those are really nice shelves in the background

Love it! Making a wooden coffin is on my list this year. I'm not sure if my skills are up to it, though. Tired of the lamo carboard ones.
It's just a jump to the left.....
And then a step to the right....

Looks great. How are you going to use it on Halloween?

For a self-proclaimed Novice, this is a great start. You appear to have hit the hardest thing for some builders, a sense of proportion. This will look awesome in a Graveyard setting.
