this may end up to be a double post. i thought i sent it in yesterday but i can't find it anywhere.
i am panhandling for ideas for a creepy kids room style haunt. i have plans for a freaky jack-in-the-box, floating blocks, disembodied singing etc. i have to make it creepy enough for teenagers but not too scary for little kids. darn them for stifling my creativity.
any thought will be appreciated.

I would suggest that you look into a "Dot Room". You'd be surprised at how effective they can be and the scare factor can be modified on-the-fly for smaller TOT's.

Dot rooms are good, make sure you have a bed w/ someone, or something, under it.

very good. i'm also thinking about silhouettes behind white sheets with a motion sensor to back light them when people walk by. i'm also on the look out for baby dolls and baby doll limbs. i think hanging them around in awkward positions could be real creepy. headless dolls our dolls with scorched skin or hair are pretty disconcerting anyhow.
i think i could do something with a stroller too.

You could do like a ceiling fan with body parts instead of blades like the one they had on dispay at Transworld.
You can also make some baby dolls look pretty creepy with a little pain, some screws, and a pair of scissors.Be wary then; best safety lies in fear. ~Shakespeare

I saw a room that used oversized blocks to spell something scary.
Be afraid , be very afraid !!

I was planning on making a small kids room scene myself. The focus of the room was going to be a little girl sitting at a small table and chairs (or on the floor) playing tea party with her dolls and stuffed animals (of course those would look creepy) and singing/humming to herself and when someone got close enough the lighting would change and her head would turn completely around revealing a face only a mother could love saying something like "come play with me" or "join my tea party". Of course this may not be too kid friendly...
