    Hello,

I am looking at building a Crate Beast prop this year and love the idea of making the top slam up and down. I need to do it by some type of cheap electric motor. I would like it to run on 110 but I am looking for any ideas.

    Thanks Rick

If you go to,Cindybob.com - Halloween Pages They have a tutorial on a MIB that uses a wiper motor that works real well. It's a 12 volt motor , but you could use a low rpm 110 volt motor instead. Hope this helps.

My MIB (Monster in box) runs with a 12 volt wiper motor and has worked great for the last 3 years.

I love the idea of the wiper motor. Should be easy to build. I see a lot of people add sound to there prop. Question, without using a computer or a CD player how can I have sound for my prop? What can I use that can stay in the prop?

    Thanks Rick

Yes I do have a compressor. Was not sure if I wanted to go that route yet.

For quick cheap sound - I have trash can trauma - I bought a light up sound rock. This one in particular has an evil laugh. There are several to choose from and are usually sold at all places = Target, Michaels etc... Place it iside the gag - it triggers by motion and sound.

I did this one 3 years ago with an electric drill and a cam attached to it. Used one of those wireless remotes to trigger it. Gonna redo it this year with and air cyclinder.
