Update: How did Boogedy do on Halloween Night? Well, he broke Early in the night too. Lesson learned.....DO NOT USE WOOD IN A PNEUMATIC LINKAGE! See picture:

See the block of wood? Broke in half. The good news is that his sound and light still worked so he still managed to scare a lot of the ToTs.

So, I'm currently looking for a more resilient solution. I'm leaning towards getting a metal block to replace the wood. But, I know there is a more elegant solution to this and I'd appreciate any suggestions.

DMXorcist performed great! What a dream to use that remote. The program did freeze up twice during the night. But, I had to simply close the program and reopen it and I was back in business. The problem with the freezing was not DMXorcist, it was the laptop computer I was using. It just didn't have enough processor. So, I am going to get a new tower computer for my home office and take the old one and promote it to be my full-time haunt computer. That should fix the problem. The laptop I was using had a 1.83 gHz processor and had an external sound card which was using some of the processor power. It just wasn't enough. So, the tower computer has an internal sound card and also has a 3.19 gHz processor! Should handle DMXorcist no sweat.

I loved using the remote but it only works line-of-sight and since I had walls up, I had to stay in the area where the IR sensor was. That wasn't a big deal but next year I'm going to utilize some floor mats for a couple of the props. Because I couldn't see some of the props to time the scare, using the remote wasn't really a good solution for them.

Over all, the systems I used to control the haunt were great (DMX, DMXorcist, 5.1 sound). I truly felt like I was master of the ToTs universe for the 2 minutes they were in my world

Here is what I bought and used, and it worked great, even from across the street!

8CH RF Wireless Remote Control Tx/Rx Kit (2622)

Should interface nicely with the exorcist, but never got around to getting the exorcist running this year. They even have a 12 channel unit.

Just weld a 90 degree piece of steel to connect the clevis connection to. Here a pic speaks better. The maybe some washers above and below the clevis.

Thank you for that RF remote link too. I'm gonna order today and it's only $20. I'll let everyone know if it incorporates with DMXorcist

Glad I could help. I put the bracket there as I thing the bolt through the clevis would eventually fail in the wood due to the high stress it would exert. I think that should last for a while.

The remote was really awesome, it never failed even at 100 feet away. I am seriously considering ordering another just to have an extra. Just connect the N/O relay outputs to the Exorcist trigger inputs and it should work just great.

One big question though... The Exorcist manual says you cannot use powered trigger inputs or it'll fry the Exorcist box. Would this be an issue?

Nope as the output of the remote control are totally independent relays, totally passive. They are basically just like a switch. All it needs is a 5 Volt Power adapter to power the receiver..

    Thanks so much TDK421

He's also easy to tranform too. Threw a mask on him (a Trick or Treat Studios one) and WALLA! he's a zombie:
