I am a beginner at making Halloween props and i was wondering what the best way is to make a life like face. I only need the face, not a detailed head. I have already built the body of a floating goul figure. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Depends on how much time and detail you want to put into the face. You could do something as detailed as a true life mask (using alginate and ultracal) or something as simple as a wig block and clay.

You could mould the front part of a foam skull or similar, using foil and paper mache, then build up the facial structure and details using paperclay and celluclay.
There are various threads on the forum on skull moulding.

check out the tutorials section, and look for Lauriebeast tutorial for her vampiress, , not many can match her skill level. but it might help you get started
