At night it is way cooler, big difference! Tomorrow, I'll begin painting and looking at the thrift store for some cheap curtains.

Figured it would be! Don't forget to look for some black or dark blue/purple velvet cloth of the interior....I think thats a winner! How about the fishing line suspending the ball? Could you see it? Are you going to go with the pedestal instead? Man, now I'm going to have to find a reason to slide over and visit after dark!

Fishing line and the ball are totally invisible, of course out in the yard at night, there will be some light, but I think the ball on the pedestal with the velvet will be perfect. Some tarot cards, a candelabra, a few trinkets, will really finish it off.
Now what name do I give it? Zoltar is too easy. Would be better if it was just one character, but there's about 10 on the dvd...
Then there's a plaque I need to make on the bottom, something like "Gaze into the crystal ball...blah blah blah... Too tired to think about it...

looking good! Great use of the Crystal ball illusions dvd. Are you going to use a inflatable ball like they recommend? I would, they actually work really well, I used a blue-green ball last year. I like the housing...it reminds me of the zoltar machines.
Imagine if you could somehow trigger the effect when a coin is dropped into it; Because this would make a awesome interactive donation box!

I am trying to find the bigger ball, all they have on this island are little ones, so next time I'm in the big city I hope to find one.
Trigger effect would be cool, but I don't see it happening with me, I ask for canned food donations to fill a coffin, I'd rather not deal with or ask for cash.
I may have a title for it, "Mystic's of the Morgue" eh?
