okay. I like to play the piano, but sometimes i would like to listen to it rather than play. that's how i got the idea for my haunt. i don't know where to buy a cheap player piano or how to make a piano that plays by itself. if anyone could help me i would really appreciate it.

Happy to help

Of course, it would be totally awesome if you could make the real deal, but for a haunt, that works splendidly.

We found an old pump organ at a thrift store and turned it into a player organ.
Videos and pics are on this thread:
Haunted Organ
Its not really that difficult. Feel free to PM or email me if you want more advice or help once you find your piano.

I have seen no less than 6 upright pianos on Craigslist in the past week or two for FREE! One of them was a player type, one was even circa 1910. I would start there.
If you use mozilla/fiefox, there is an app called craigzilla...you put in your area, search criteria and search frequency and it will pop-up a window for you telling you when someone have listed something in your filter, no need to scan endlessly anymore.
