The one I have currently I think I actually got from Party city and it is just not bright enough...The Walmart idea sounds EXTREMELY tempting, but I would prefer spending my money elsewhere...

I've spoken with KY SPFX, they are super nice people to deal with, and would absolutely recommend them but am afraid the shipping would be expensive for their bigger light; however the HD is just a mile from my house!

I'll have to check out the elation bulbs but am not sure how to build the mirrored housing..is there a how-to?
Shipping shouldnt be to much actually we have been trimming our boxes down to a minium and we just invested in a air bag packer.
I had a gal yesterday ask us why our lights were so expensive and I tried to explaine to her about the High Output flourescent bulbs we install in all our fixtures.
I still think we had a failure to communicate, I think I got too technical on her.
Sometimes when you guys and gals call me with lighting questions you have to stop me and make me elaborate in english, im still getting used to explaining things better to home haunters.

If you are serious about blacklight illumination, have a look at these

    400W of directed output!

    Awsome! It's a 400watt fire starter!
Not to mention you could actually watch the electricty meter on the side of your house or prohaunt actually achieve flight and just imagine the electricity bill, now that would be scary!

400 W would be like running a small room heater. A bit pricey if used extensively. But it won't set the house on fire. A BL Cannon is like the "Binford Tools" version of a black light set-up. Too much overkill, too much money.
A pair of 48" tubes set in front of your FCG will be plenty.

Don't go to crazy. I have 3 simple 16 inch blacklights mounted in my garage and it gives off way more then enough blacklight to light up the FCG. Some ideas for you to play with.

I use a 3-socket fixture with 13W UV CFLs. It's compact and provides UV comparable to a 4' fixture.
