ok guys- never seen this in person, but I gotta know how they do it. Obviously it's animatronic. However- what's that material around her face that allows her to move like that? Some sort of rubber? Man this is cool...

I would guess her face is silicone. If you want to make one for yourself, latex would work just fine.

Eyes "blink" near the beginning and the face moves in and out an inch or so a few times throughout (watch the shadow under her chin).

It looks like she's built in two.

The face and hair are one solid piece. It moves independently ( IN and OUT) from the rest of the tombstone relief. The eyes "blink" like those on the talking douglas fir!

I bet this can be made both light weight and inexpensive with some douglas fir eyes, a wig head, and a reindeer motor turned sideways.

The best way to do this, would be to. just paint up your wife and let her sit behind the tombstone. You would much better action!
