This is a new prop for me this year. I am going to have a blackout area about 12 to 16 feet long in my maze, with different lengths of clothe hanging down. This will be mixed in to with the clothe. I will use either a mat switch or motion sensor to activate it right after they get just past the first one. I started with 3 but Have decided to ad 2 more. They don't hurt but make you feel like a tick is crawling on you. I run about 25lbs of air through them.

ive always wanted some....

But ive had an idea to tie long cable ties to a small pole and as they walk past they tickle the ToT'ers feet....

Brushe, Nice job! Looks very cool and probably feels ceepy walking through and even the itroduction of a spitter or mister would also add some cool effect if you wanted to. As I see it on the video, it is not really needed just a extra thought.

ruggers if you use cable ties do keep them low. The air lines on mine are made from surgical tubing. It is extremely soft.

Thanks Meyers Maddness, it is funny you mentioned the mister. I used that and a floating pirate skelly from Walmart in my first blackout area. So I might fire it up again?

Nice idea to have these mixed in with clothes! How do you do this? Do you have a link?

No, I just built the mechanical part.for now. My strips of clothe are still packed in the attic. But all I did was nail the same string ( like you would use for your garden ) on top of some 2x4's. I ran it back and fourth in a Jacobs Ladder, and tied the strips of clothe about 5 inches apart. I used random lenghts. That way you have to push your way through it. I cover it with black plastic and have heavy Black material to form curtains on each end. Then I just use low light when you come out. That way if 3 or 4 people are in there , they don't see anything as the first person exits. If the video you can hear my little Senco trim compressor running. But I have a big compressor that is away from all my props. So when these come on all you hear is the pssss air sound. Then you feel the air as they slap you. Those rubber tubes pulling across your skin and the air blowing in your face and hair, is a creepy feeling. It really worked better the I expected. Dave in the Grave said I better hand out goggles. But I think I'll take them to the next m&t and let him feel feel them. After dealing with the public at work , my whole life. I wouldn't take chances with any thing, I thought would harm anyone. They are simple to make and cheap. I''l see if I can get a picture of the line on to day.

I noticed in the video you had to rub your eye. Think of the public and how this may affect someone. You don't want to lose everything. SAFETY SAFETY!!!

Darkmaster thanks for your concern. Safety is very important to me. I wasn't rubbing my eye, it gives you the feeling something is crawling on you. So yes, when something is crawling on you you get it off. It isn't a lingering effect. Before I made the one you saw in the video. I set up just one to experiment with. Several people of different ages, took direct hits all over. I know watching the movement it looks like it could be dangerous. But it is something you just have to experience.
