Milemarker- When you order the board from Jeff for $10.00, you are getting a plain board. Nothing comes on it. Jeff will e-mail you a list of parts to buy from All electronics and 1 part you will have to order from Mouser electronics.

If you want to buy the board from Jeff, just email asking for Otaku's board. He takes pay pal for payment. I got my board in 2 days.

Milemarker, the board you see in the pix is the prototype that I designed for that coffin prop. The board that Jeff is selling is a printed and drilled board based on that design. It comes with the parts list that Joe mentioned, and all parts except for the opto-sensor are available from All Electronics. I think the total cost of the parts is less than $15. There is one other piece of hardware that you have to make, which is the reflector that the opto looks for as the motor rotates. This reflector attaches to the motor shaft and is made from a small piece of aluminum flat stock. I believe that there is a dimensioned pic in the board instructions.
A quick overview - when triggered, the circuit allows the motor to make a 180° rotation, pause for a pre-set time, then make a second 180° rotation, bringing it back to the home location. It then waits for the next trigger event. The trigger is a 9VDC pulse (1-2 sec). I use a Quorum A-160 PIR to do this, but if you are using a prop controller with a relay you can attach a 9 volt battery in series to supply the trigger pulse.
I sent Jeff a modified version of the circuit that allows a dry-contact trigger, but I don't know if he has burned any boards with that design yet.
The smaller board that you see in the prop pics is a MP3 player controller that supplies sound for the prop. This circuit is triggered by the same 9VDC pulse that starts the motor controller board. It is used with a 16MB MP3 player cartridge (sadly, no longer available) but could possibly be used with any MP3 player that can be hacked to allow a remote trigger. I have a schematic of this circuit.

Let me know if you have any other questions - I'll be happy to help.
    I...have many names...
