I cannot find a 1/4"bore pulley anywhere. Do they just not exist? I want to upgrade my Axworthy Ghost from a bread maker motor, which is too slow, to a sewing machine motor with a speed control (dimmer switch). My current setup is designed to run the powered pulley directly off of the motor. Is there a pulley that is 6-10 inches in diameter that I can use on a 1/4" shaft?

Look on line for arbor adapters. You will find several different sizes & configurations in “Rock Shops”. Year ago I used to cut and polish gems and slab stone. Many times I would come across a motor and it never failed that the shaft was either too small or too large and always ended up buying an adapter. This way you could use what ever size pully that suits your needs.

    Hope this helps?

Try looking at SurplusCenter.com. They carry a shipload of different sized pulleys.
