    Im looking to throw together an Axeworthy for next Halloween Season, and am looking for a finished design.

    I have toyed with it in the past, and have had problems with Slippage etc. I have used COunter Balances, switched motors, etc...

    I have seen a few VERY successful designs form the great people here, and was hoping that I could get a little input. =)

    Sorry, but I think it's just a matter of trial and error to find what works best for your particular needs. I would suggest that you look into this site:
    Monster Page of Halloween Project Links
    They have a whole section on the axeworthy design. Most of the folks here have used one or another of these as a jumping off point for thier designs.
